Episode #6 – Life of an interracial couple

Bri and her Fiancé Greg – Unfiltered Friends

Life of an Interracial Couple

One of the things I have always loved about the internet is the ability to connect with people you probably would have never met. I had no idea so many years ago that Bri would become a part of my life.

To give a little background, Bri is a member of my audience that I met at a meet up in Chicago. Sassy as ever we became fast friends and she helped me greatly when it came to my road trip in honor of my dog Wrigley, as she works in radio.

I have always been known as someone to keep it really real when expressing my viewpoints, so I knew when she invited me to meet her then boyfriend Greg, I knew it was pretty serious.

A little over a year later and a lot of intense life experiences for Bri, Bri and Greg are now engaged and seem to be set on a course for wedded bliss.

When Bri told me she would be passing through Denver I thought it would be awesome to tell the story of their love. Relationships are hard enough but being an interracial couple adds another layer on to be sure. What I loved about the interview is that Bri and Greg’s ethnicities were but a small part of their story. I hope we can all get to this point where the superficial things don’t matter, only love does.

I hope you all enjoy this podcast and tell me which parts impacted you the most. Unfiltered Friends is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Play make sure you follow me there!

Episode #5 Pulse Nightclub survivor Shae

Shae is an inspirational human being

I will never forget about the day I heard about the shooting at Pulse Night Club. The loss of forty-nine lives that night over such ignorance has left an impression on the people of this country. As someone who was there when it happened, Shae is no exception.

I was in Chicago at the time the shooting happened and reached out to talk to anyone who needed to talk and Shae reached out. I was grateful in that moment that Shae would confide in me after such an awful ordeal.

Now Shae lives in Denver and sat down with me and for the first time went into great detail about his experience. Shae also talked about what it’s like for him to be a gay, black man.

This is what Unfiltered Friends is about and I hope that you truly enjoy this story. Never hesitate to reach out. We are all here for you.

Episode #4 My Most Intense Episode Yet With Grace Ellis

A conversation with Grace Ellis

This podcast was one of my first ones that I ever did. I held off on posting it because the story was a whirlwind. I had never met someone who had been though as much as Grace has. My hope by posting this that it will help others connect and not feel alone in what they go through

Grace and I met 10 years ago randomly at a karaoke bar in Los Angeles. We lost touch until recently where it turns out she lives in my area now. Since then we have become very close friends and this story has developed quite a bit.

Grace is someone who hasn’t had someone to really to listen to her. She is exactly the type of person who I made this podcast about. Since then Grace has shown this podcast to EVERYONE who didn’t really listen to her. Grace’s Father was moved by what he heard. Grace’s mother apologized and talked about seeking therapy. Mostly Grace just felt listened to and that is what Unfiltered Friends is about.

Hope you guys enjoy this conversation and remember if you want to watch any of these live you can tune in on Twitch. http://www.twitch.tv/supdaily

Episode #3 – The I Don’t Care Sexuality with Megan Lenius

Episode #3 – The I Don’t Care Sexuality with Megan Lenius

One of my favorite creators on Twitch is Megan Lenius. More than just an amazing singer, she is an amazing person. One of the most genuine people you will ever meet. When I was talking to Megan at twitch con this last year and got on the subject of sexuality. I don’t meet many people who think they way that she does.

Most of us when we are choosing a partner, gender is a big deal. When talking to Megan the first time she basically said, “The most important thing to me is, Do you have a good heart?” I think that is a beautiful thing and wanted to sit a share this message with all of you.

My favorite part of this whole conversation is that it became much less about sexuality and much more about knowing yourself. The strength that Megan Lenius has is something all people can aspire to. She teaches us how important it is to know who you are, set boundaries, and silence the negative voices around you.

Check it out and let us know what you think!

Episode #2 : Antphrodite – Celebrity Psychic

A conversation with Antphrodite the Celebrity Psychic

Antphrodite is a perfect example of someone who knows exactly who they are and stuck to their guns no matter how many people said they should stuff. He pioneered the tarot card/psychic reading industry on twitch and has continued to flourish.

He was so fascinating to speak to that even after three hours of speaking live, we talked for another two hours. We spoke about what we felt for our future and no more than two weeks later a lot of that conversation was manifested for Antphrodite.

He had done a reading about the drama going on with James Charles with 100% accuracy a month before it happened. Since then he has enjoyed all the validation that he has deserved as well as a huge increase in viewership which is well deserved.

The biggest lesson to be learned from this is the reason he is capitalizing on this is because he was ready. His website was ready to go. His skills had been honed over two years of streaming. Most importantly he believed in his brand and who he is.

I can’t think of anyone else on the platform most deserving of this success and I am excited to see where this goes for him. Make sure you check out his stream here. Hope you enjoy this interview as much as I do!

Episode #1 Overcoming Controlling people and being mindful w/ Shesnaps

A Conversation with SheSnaps

One of my favorite parts about doing this podcast is learning how someone got to where they are. I always feel much closer to the person Interview after we are done, and this interview was no exception!

Going into SheSnaps stream you always get a positive vibe and a smile. She has built her community in a way that makes you always feel welcome. You would have no idea that at one point her stream was an escape from her reality at home.

Overcoming a controlling relationship and working in a male dominated field she rose to the occasion. She found self love, romantic love, and became a leader for the many people who watch her.

This interview went into overtime and that is how you know it is a good one. Check it out and make sure to rate and subscribe if you enjoy it!
